I love a fun bright theme for a party and last weekend I got to create this dessert table for my gorgeous client and mother to be, Kimberly. It was such a pleasure to work with her and her event planner, Lara from Honey Lane, who did an amazing job with the event.
This party was a special event for both Kimberly, Dan, their family and friends. They were celebrating the upcoming arrival of their baby girl. The event was held at the prestigious Vaucluse House Tea Rooms.
Kimberly asked me to create a dessert using fun bright colours, the central theme being 100s&1000s and a hint of gold. We made a special 100s & 1000s cake with centre of the cake filled with M&Ms, so when the cake was cut the M&Ms fell out, which was a surprise for the guests. We also made 100s&1000s cake pops, vanilla biscuits, personalised gingerbread biscuits with the baby’s surname and personalised chocolate bars, which all matched the central theme.
Our Apothecary glass jars were filled with pink sixlets, chocolate jewels, jelly beans, smarties, clouds, marshmallows and sugar sizzle sticks.
We had two drink dispensers with Pink Lemonade and a non sugar option, Water, lemon slices & mint. These were accompanied with personalised straws of baby photos of both Kimberly and Dan, such a cute touch. The lemonade stand was provided by Honey Lane.
There really are so many special and lovely details to this party so I will let the images show you how it all came together.
